REIS D'ARAGÓN
We are Santiago and Ana, we live in Spain and our greatest fondness is breeding puppies Pyrenean Mastiff and Jack Russell Terrier, two breeds of dogs that are our passion.
More than a decade dedicated to working with our Pyrenean Mastiffs, the great traditional Pyrenean guard dogs, and our small and affectionate Jack Russell Terriers.
Breeders of Pyrenean Mastiff and Jack Russell Terrier
Our history as breeders of dogs of the Pyrenean Mastiff and Jack Russell Terrier breeds began walking through a livestock fair in a town in the Pyrenees, we were fascinated by some impressive large dogs, of imposing appearance and at the same time calm character, which were exposed there, they were Pyrenean mastiffs, the breed of dogs that was traditionally used to protect houses, farms and livestock.
Our first dogs were Zacarías Do Tarreo Grande and Coral de Agua Grande, two Pyrenean Mastiff puppies who came home in 2008 and conquered our hearts.
With Zaca and Coral our fondness grew every day, and we undertook the work of breeding, disseminating and maintaining this Spanish breed of large, family and affectionate guard dogs, which are also pretty as they stand out for their beauty.
In his honor we chose our affix Reis D'Aragón, an Aragonese name that reminds us of the Pyrenees (in the Aragonese language it means Kings of Aragon).
With Zaca and Coral we began to participate in dog shows and specialty breed shows, in which we had the opportunity to see the best mastiffs, as well as to meet the best dog breeders in Spain and outside of Spain.
At the dog shows we went to, we saw the adorable Jack Russell Terrier and we fell in love with these little dogs that seem to us to be the best breed of small dogs, the most beautiful, intelligent and friendly in the world.
So, in 2013, the little Jack Russell Terrier puppy Lura de Gaspalleira settled in our home and in our hearts.
In our kennel, the Pyrenean Mastiffs and the Jack Russell Terrier live together freely and are raised in a family environment. During these years we have tried to be responsible breeders, always concerned about the well-being and health of our dogs and puppies.
The Pyrenean Mastiff and Jack Russell Terrier puppies from our kennel are the result of years of constant dedication and the knowledge that experience has given us.
As breeders of Pyrenean Mastiffs we continue with the same enthusiasm and commitment, we are proud to contribute to the conservation of the breed and that this Spanish breed of mastiffs is known and present in countries as far away as Norway, Finland, Canada, USA, Hawaii and Japan.
As Jack Russell Terrier breeders, we hope to do our bit for the maintenance and improvement of this breed of small dogs with contagious joy.
